This study was written by NSM Team Vicar, Revd Sue Rodd, as her Master’s degree dissertation.  It describes a survey conducted within one of the Team’s parishes on behalf of an ecumenical working group (the ACCORD Group) in the village.  Its objective was to understand how the shared/united activities of the churches were perceived – by both churchgoers and non-members.
The work includes the detailed results and a copy of the questionnaire used, as well as a survey of current writing in the areas of:
•    rural ministry,
•    inter-denominational co-operation and
•    church/community interaction.
The findings show, very clearly,  the need for better communication (in both directions) between churches and the communities they serve.  This work will, it is hoped, help lead to more effective future ministry and mission, both within this particular community and beyond.
